Kesar II Punjabi Restaurant - Bexleyheath
About This Spot
Stepping into Kesar II Punjabi Restaurant in the heart of Bexleyheath, you’re greeted by an inviting warmth that feels as genuine as the flavors on the plate. This is a place where time slows just enough to savor the rhythms of a well-loved neighborhood eatery, the gentle hum of conversations weaving between the clink of glasses and the soft sizzle from the kitchen.
The atmosphere strikes a balance between comfortable familiarity and an understated vibrancy. It’s neither rushed nor overly formal—a setting where families, friends, and solo diners alike find a welcoming corner to settle into. The attentive, yet unobtrusive, service helps the experience feel personal, making every visit more than just a meal but a shared moment of connection.
Here, the menu unfolds like a story of traditional Punjabi cooking with touches that invite curiosity. You might find yourself drawn first to the deep-spiced goat curry spooned generously alongside garlic naan, or delighting in the cooling calm of salted lassi after a perfectly crispy vegetable samosa. Each dish resonates with layers of flavor and care, embodying the spirit of home-cooked meals passed through generations. The thoughtful inclusion of varied raitas and chutneys adds subtle contrasts that elevate every bite.
What makes Kesar II stand out is not just the food but the feeling it leaves—a subtle assurance that authenticity isn’t about grand gestures but the small attentions: the way a kati roll is rolled tightly with just the right balance of spices, or how the sweet simplicity of gulab jamun rounds off the meal like an old friend’s comforting word.
Finding parking might require a little timing finesse, hinting at the restaurant’s quiet popularity among locals who appreciate its genuine approach. Whether arriving early in the evening or settling in later when the neighborhood softens, there’s a shared sense of discovery in reconnecting with flavors and hospitality that remind you why these places become cherished.
For those seeking a culinary experience rooted in Punjabi tradition yet grounded firmly in the community, Kesar II Punjabi Restaurant offers a quietly joyful encounter—one where the food, atmosphere, and people come together to make each visit feel like coming home.

Great find, authentic Indian food. It's one of the best Chole Bhatura i have had recently. Tandoori Chicken was well-done and spicy as well. There are not many parking spots in the area, so I usually prefer going late evening when the parking restrictions are relaxed.

Came to visit this restaurant after hearing good reviews from friends and I wasn’t disappointed. Abdul went way and beyond to give us a great dining experience, from the starters (poppadoms and dips, meat samosas, lamb chops) to recommending the goat curry which was amazing. I would definitely recommend eating at this restaurant. 5*

Lovely food, you will not be disappointed, also a nice selection of drinks. I had a small mix grill and fish pakora and for mains, we had the butter chicken for the kids and Punjab Chicken.

We decided to try this newly opened restaurant in the neighbourhood. We liked the taste of everything and would definitely return. Samosa filling could be little bit more spicier but its not bad and better than what we tried so far in this neighbourhood. Goat curry was really good and highly recommended:)
